Principles : Breathing

Regulating and improving the breathing function encourages efficient flow of oxygen to energise all the cells in the body, increasing vitality and releasing the toxic effects of stress and tension stored in our bodies.

Efficient breathing improves stamina, muscle endurance & performance, and enhances the effects of all the other principles of Pilates. 

An improved supply of oxygen to the body tissues promotes health and vitality and assists functioning of all internal organs, breath being the link between the physical body and life force in the atmosphere around us.
