Her style of approach draws on the analytical skills of a scientific and precise mind with the creativity of an artist producing a fusion of qualities to support her journey of inquiry into the relationship between body mind and spirit.
She began Pilates to deal with back pain and injuries resulting from a car accident which led her to a special interest in the role of Pilates in achieving physical health and mental harmony.
Having qualified from the Pilates Foundation Teacher Training course at The Place, Nita continues to train in the Pilates method under the inspiration and constant guidance of Hana Jones, developing an integrated approach with her experiences in various styles of yoga which greatly influence her style of teaching.
Through 14 years of practice, her experiences have taken her from classical Hatha Yoga in the Indian tradition to the dynamic style of Astanga Vinyasa, the precision of Iyengar and more recently, the release based approach of Vanda Scaravelli.
Her physical explorations of yoga have prompted a growing emphasis towards meditation and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda for the purpose of initiating practical change in life to achieve harmony in health and happiness.
